Fed: Businessman to fund ads against migration laws
An Australian businessman is paying for a multi-media ad campaign .. urging senators
to scuttle the federal government's immigration bill in parliament this week.
Perth businessman .. IAN MELROSE is running the ads on TV .. radio and in papers from tomorrow.
In the past he's paid for other media campaigns including one opposing the Australian
government's position in an oil rights debate with East Timor.
The immigration bill now faces an uncertain future with Family First senator STEVE
FIELDING today announcing he'll vote against it.
