Vic: Bungled break-in ends in collapsed cherry picker

MELBOURNE, Dec 21 AAP - Two men have been hospitalised and a third is speaking to police
after allegedly breaking into a Melbourne building site and crashing a cherry picker.

The three pulled apart a fence to enter the site on Wright Street, Keilor Park about
7.30am (AEDT) where they found a cherry picker with its ignition key in it, police said.

Police said two of the men where in the cherry picker carriage and the third man was
driving it when it tumbled over a small concrete drop.

Police are questioning the machine's driver while the occupants of the carriage have
been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

Two of the men are aged 20, a third man is 19.

No charges have yet been laid.
