Vic: Don't compromise sanctity of shrine: Brumby
A tower to be built up to forty storeys high in Melbourne is inappropriate .. because
it overshadows the Shrine of Remembrance.
That's the opinion of Victorian Premier JOHN BRUMBY .. who says the shrine should be
protected because it's a sacred place which honours Australians who've died in previous
wars.
Tonight .. the Melbourne City Council will consider a proposal to build the tower on
St Kilda Road.
