Tas: Hundreds of dead fish discovered in Derwent River
Hundreds of dead fish have been floating in the Derwent River in the city's north.
Hobart police sergeant PAT LEE says the dead fish were found in the Derwent in the
outer northern suburb of Bridgewater about 8.30am (AEDT) today.
He says he has no information on the species of fish or the cause of their deaths,
but he says it may have something to do with recent flooding.
Department of Environment officers are looking into the matter.
