NSW:Barry O'Farrell to challenge fed govt

SYDNEY, Feb 9 AAP - NSW Opposition leader Barry O'Farrell is poised to lead a revolt
by conservative states against the federal Labor government.

Mr O'Farrell will use a speech on Wednesday at the National Press Club in Canberra
to argue the federal government must relinquish some of its control of the Council of
Australian Governments (COAG) agenda, News Limited reports.

"I will not tolerate the abuse of COAG as a parking lot for tough decisions and a media
strategy for short-term political gimmicks," Mr O'Farrell will reportedly say.
